BEC focuses on international development

After sailing on the boat to the Veveří Castle in 2012, a gathering at the Planetarium terrace in 2013 and another one at the courtyard of the Governor’s Palace last year, we kicked off a new season 2015-16 at the Museum of Applied Arts.
About 150 people joined us to celebrate the years behind us and to meet and exchange ideas with representatives of the municipality, key public institutions and companies related to the international development of the city, as well as creative foreigners who live and work in Brno.
We are still growing. It was our pleasure to welcome new partners and supporters – FEI, IBM, Masaryk University and Raiffeisen Bank that have recently joined the original family. All together we are going to set up a platform or a network where more European expat centers could share the best practices and exchange contacts and experience for making Brno more connected for high skilled talents.
The participants stayed in conversations over a glass of wine while listening to the an expat musician Chris Barickman and watching the a preview of the CZizincII movie about foreigners in Brno. Some guests enjoyed a tour of a secret bomb shelter that has only recently been opened or a museum tour with the exhibition of applied arts and design.
