Get help, or help those fleeing Ukraine

updated: March 14

Brno Expat Centre’s consultants are ready to help all our clients, as always – regarding residence permits, employment, housing etc. If you prefer help in Russian (assistance to your family members, friends), please book an appointment in advance, as only some of our consultants speak it as their second language.

We’re also extending our capacity to help newcomers find a job in one of the Brno international corporations, or set up a business license, for freelancing in any field. To overcome possible language barriers, we’re planning free Czech and English language courses in our office.

Where to find or provide help

Browse through the options here, there are many kinds of assistance you can provide:

Where to send financial donations

Unless you prefer to buy things yourself and bring them someplace, the ideal way to help is to send a donation, because money can be turned into any kind of material and consequential help. Material help is both being sent directly to Ukraine from Brno or used to support the refugees who came here. When the conflict is over, the reconstruction of Ukrainian territory will be even more difficult and financial support will also be needed.

The most well-known, proven and experienced Czech organisations which accept donations for Ukraine are the following:

Where to donate clothing, food…

Do not bring anything directly to the BVV Výstaviště Assistance Center! Basic documents, medical assistance and accommodation search are only handled on site.
