Webinar on starting a business: a company, or a trade license?

Which is better, a company or a trade license?

If you’re planning to start a business, this question might have already crossed your mind. We cannot give you a simple answer, as it is different for every business idea. We can, however, provide you with an overview of the pros and cons of these two forms of doing business. Equipped with this information, you can make the right decision for your own plan.

We invited Michal Hájek, a financial expert with a focus on tax consultancy, founding and liquidating companies, accounting, and payroll, to explain the main differences between these two strategies.

  • Which one is easier to set up?
  • When do I pay less in taxes?
  • When can I employ other people?

Watch the recording and get your answers, so you can make the right decision. The explanation given by Michal is some 30 minutes long. The rest of the video is him answering questions from the viewers.

Once you’ve decided on the best format for your business idea, you can start by reading the appropriate guide from our library: either how to become self-employed and get a trade licence, or how to set up a company.

We thank Michal Hájek from BELL Consulting for joining us for the webinar and for preparing the comprehensive overview. Feel free to get in touch with him with questions regarding your specific idea. (However, unlike the expat centre, Michal is not a public office, and he must charge you for his time and advice).
