Join our amazing crew of volunteers at the Brno Expat Fair
Last year, over 2,000 expats and their friends met at Tržnice, at the Brno Expat Fair. Join the fun! On Saturday, 16 May 2026, Tržnice will once again transform into a celebration of Brno’s international community, and you have the chance to be at the very heart of it.
Volunteering at the Brno Expat Fair is more than just helping out; it is an opportunity to meet new friends from over 100 nationalities and learn new things about the city we call home. As a volunteer, you become an essential part of a dedicated crew that makes this massive event possible, going behind the scenes of an event that features dozens of expat-friendly services and clubs, international cuisines and expert-led workshops&talks.
A Day of Connection and Discovery
The atmosphere is inclusive and energetic, designed to build connections across the international community. Whether you are talking to other internationals, telling them where everything is, or ensuring the coffee stays hot in the exhibitors’ green room, you are building a network of global friends. The best part is that you do not even need to speak Czech to participate, and the organisers provide a friendly environment where you can feel comfortable regardless of your linguistic background.
Your Role in the Crew
The fair itself is a bustling day of discovery spanning from 8 am to 7 pm, followed by an afterparty until 10 pm. However, the team does not require your help for the entire duration. It is okay to volunteer just in the morning or in the afternoon. Volunteers are given ample time to explore the four floors of Tržnice, grab some food from the international food festival and enjoy live performances. Responsibilities are varied and assigned based on need, ranging from exhibitor support and workshop registration to helping move items, managing green rooms, or keeping an eye on the stage program.
Perks and Logistics
We try our best to ensure that the volunteer crew enjoys the day. All volunteers will be fed throughout the day with snacks and coffee provided. You will also receive a special event T-shirt to wear as part of the official team. You are encouraged to invite a friend to volunteer with you; if you specify their name in the sign-up form, the organisers will ensure you work together so you can spend the day as a duo.
How to Join Us
If you have free time on Saturday, 16 May, and can attend a brief orientation meeting on Wednesday afternoon, 6 May, you are the perfect candidate for the crew.
