Brno's Community Garden Accepting Members
Do you love gardening? Do you speak English and haven’t yet dared to rent your own garden? Join our new Czech-English community garden in Brno!
Organised by Vicinis, supported by the Brno Expat Centre.
Welcome to a place where nature, people, and inspiration come together. Our community garden is located between the Brno districts of Lesná and Královo Pole, and it’s about much more than just growing fruits and vegetables. It’s a place where you can make new friends, learn new things, and create unforgettable memories with people who share your love for gardening and being outdoors.
You’ll get to know the Czech tradition of gardening. We take care of the garden together as a shared space, where each member has their own raised beds. If you’d like to rent your own private garden from the city, we’ll be happy to help you communicate with the local gardening associations that manage rentals.

What can you expect?
- Shared beds: get your own piece of the garden and take part in its appearance and development. We take care of the entire garden together, while each member has their own raised bed(s).
- Everyone is also free to relax in the garden or make use of fruit from the trees.
- A friendly environment: Our members are here to help and support you on your gardening journey.
- 24/7 access: The garden is open to members at any time—you can come whenever you need.
- Peaceful location: A beautiful, quiet forest setting just a short distance from public transport.
- Family-friendly: Located near a lovely woodland playground for children—we warmly welcome families.
Don’t expect strict rules—we’re building the garden together and welcome your creativity. This year, we are mainly focusing on renovating the greenhouse, which will serve all members. Membership fee: 1000 CZK per year
