We’re happy to invite you to a specialised seminar for parents, organised by Vicinis NGO and hosted by the Brno Expat Centre.

You know that first minute when you’re looking at your newborn bleary-eyed and vow that nobody will dare mess with your child because then they’ll have to mess with you? Then you send your child to school or kindergarten or playground.

According to a research conducted by SCIO in 2018, most of the children encounter physical or verbal aggression in their classrooms, and more than half of upper primary school students encounter bullying. In other words, any child can become part of bullying at any moment. How can we help our child to cope with bullying at school? And what can we do as parents to prevent it? What works, what doesn’t?

This short, interactive workshop is led by Tatiana Dumbrava, who works as a school psychologist and helps children, parents and teachers deal with bullying, among other things. Besides school counselling, she has a private practice, where she focuses with her clients on mental wellbeing and self care.

Please note: the capacity is limited due to pandemic regulations. Make your booking via Vicinis Messenger. Registrations work on a first-come, first-served basis.  If you register and later realize you can’t make it, please cancel your reservation to make room for others. In case of full capacity the event will be repeated at a later date and those registered on the waiting list will be notified. Thank you for your understanding!
