When & Where?
16 August 2025
Sorry, the capacity of the event is now sold out.
It’s time to explore another interesting wine place of South Moravia during our traditional August weekend outing. This time we’ll venture to a hill you’ve most certainly passed from a distance while travelling elsewhere.
In order to ‘deserve’ the drinking and also properly savour the gourmet experience, we’ll do it the Czech way of course and do a little walking beforehand, to a lookout tower over the Nové Mlýny lakes, followed by lunch. Then we’ll discover the village and its distinctive church, and take in the views into all directions.
We will arive at the Vinařství Nová Hora for a tour of the winery and then a sit-down with a guided tasting, cold plates of cheese and charcuterie, for a total of about 2-3 hours. There are several train options to return to Brno afterwards.
Meeting point: Brno Main Train Station at 12:15. The train R13/809 leaves at 12:36 in the direction of Břeclav.
The time plan of the event is as follows:
13:00 arrival in Zaječí, walk to a lookout tower
13:30 lunch
14:30 walk to visit the church and nature products shop
16:00 wine tasting
18:00 and later – departure
Trains from Zaječí run every hour until 10 pm.
If you’re a wine lover, you can also take the opportunity to pre-order your own wine tasting journal.
