August is the time to explore another interesting South Moravian winery during our traditional weekend outing. This time we’ll venture to a village which features a separate quirky ‘wine republic’ with silly ministries, in the beautiful area named “the Blue Mountains“. You’ll be accompanied by a trusted guide from Czechxploring.
To properly savour the gourmet experience, we’ll do it the Czech way of course and do a little walking beforehand (3 km) to a local lookout tower over the village, followed by lunch.
Then we’ll discover the village and continue to the Modrohorský sklep winery for a tour and a sit-down with a guided tasting of 10 wine samples, with plates of bread and cheese, for a total of about 2-3 hours. There are several train options to return to Brno afterwards.
Meeting point: Brno Main Train Station at 10:00. The train leaves at 10:36 in the direction of Břeclav.
The time plan of the event is as follows:
11:19 arrival in Bořetice, walk to a lookout tower
13:30 lunch
15:00 wine tasting
18:38 return by train to Brno

Also, if you’re a wine lover, you can also take the opportunity to pre-order your own wine tasting journal.
