Summer picnic with the Draci Brno baseball club

Join us for a leisurely after-work picnic! Our July events are usually a pleasant opportunity to meet other expats and discover a new place in he city at a time when Brno runs at a calmer, holiday pace.

This year we’ll be hosted by Brno’s distinguished baseball team – the Draci Brno (Brno Dragons). You can sample the joys and tricks of baseball through various easy games suitable for both adults and children, try out the real baseballer’s gear while taking a chance to smash a ball with a bat, or marvel at the club members’ skill. You’ll also learn about various opportunities to enjoy baseball in Brno, as a spectator or even a player.

Afterwards we’ll continue with a potluck picnic since the club kindly extend their invitation to this pleasant way to end the day. Bring a blanket to sit on and whatever you’d like to eat or drink and share with others. There wil also be some drinks for sale from their local bar.

If you’d like to join in, please register via the red button above, stating also how many adults or children joining the games will come, so that we can plan accordingly.

How to get there: You can either take tram no. 12 o the terminus at Komárov and take a stroll along the river, or catch a bus to Hněvkovského stop and then easily walk minutes to the playing field. If you come by car, there is ample parking available.
