Our January well-being and personal development workshop, led by experienced expat therapist-in training, coach and deep conversations consultant Zlatica Kalužná, will create a safe space to explore the often-invisible emotional complexities of living abroad.
Participants will unpack the “Expat Paradox,” acknowledging the contrast between external success and internal struggles such as guilt, grief, and identity erosion. Through interactive exercises—including guilt mapping, identity-fragment reflection, and somatic boundary tools—the group will learn to recognize emotional patterns and work with them compassionately. The session will highlight the unique forms of expat guilt and reframe identity change as a dynamic process rather than a loss.
Evidence-based tools will help participants
The workshop will close with reflective letter-writing and a shared group moment to consolidate insights, strengthen community, and lighten the emotional load.
