In June, you have an opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful, romantic and picturesque places near Brno, which has been ‘under the radar’ for a long time but lately has been gaining popularity because of its beauty. The small town of Dolní Kounice features numerous attractions, among them the ruins of a gothic convent, a Jewish synagogue and cemetery and a medieval castle.

We will visit the local synagogue and the ruins of the 14th century Rosa Coeli convent, sought after by filmmakers nad music bands for its mysterious and romantic appearance, a perhaps also sample the goodies of the famed local sweetshop.

Meeting point: 10.15 at the Modřice tram terminus (tram no. 2), departure by bus no. 512 at 10.35h. How to get there: take tram no. 2 from Hlavní nádraží, direction Modřice and get off at the last station. You can use e.g. tram departing from Hlavní nádraží at 9:46 or 9:59.
Expected return: cca 3 p.m.

Entry fee: CZK 150 to both locations together
