We are pleased to present a unique opportunity at this difficult time.  The “Carer in Reserve” volunteer course will be exceptionally held in English and free of charge this time, which is a great opportunity for all expats. The course is presented by the Czech Red Cross in cooperation with Ivo Válka from the Uniqa insurance company. Interpretation and organization is provided by the Brno Expat Centre.

What will you learn: Patient rights, ethics, communication, hygiene, bed preparation, diet, patient positioning, protective aids

What will you get: A certificate of the Czech Red Cross, which entitles you to work as auxiliary staff in medical facilities, social services and also to take care of a relative when necessary.

What are the requirements: age 18+; valid ID/passport;  criminal record from the CR or your home country (delivered before or after the course, get it from CzechPoint); sign an affidavit confirming that you did not come into contact with an infected person in the last 14 days.

The minimum number of participants is 8, maximum 24 people.

The course is available to people

The course and certificate do not automatically mean securing the position of a volunteer, but are necessary for qualified assistance in medical or social facilities (during COVID and beyond).
