After a year, it’s time to explore another interesting wine place of South Moravia during our traditional August weekend outing. This time we’ll venture to the Sonberk Winery which features an architectural award-winning new building amidst its vineyards and a breathtakingly beautiful view of the iconic Pálava hill we so often gaze at through the glazed windows of our Brno offices. This time you’ll have a chance to enjoy this view in a leisurely setting and with a glass of excellent wine in hand!

In order to ‘deserve’ and also properly savour the gourmet experience, we’ll do it the Czech way of course and do a little walking beforehand. Therefore, our route will begin at the Popice train station, taking us through many more vineyards along the marked tourist trail, finishing at Sonberk after 6 easy kilometres where we’ll enjoy a wine tasting with the local sommellier and later some more goodies and wine on their beautiful terrace.

We’ll meet at 9:45 at the Main Train Station in Brno and take a train at 10:09 to Popice. The journey back is equally easy, trains from the Šakvice station to Brno leave every hour.

The cost that covers the wine tasting is 400,- CZK, payable directly at the winery, both cash and card payment is possible. Any further wine and food is at your discretion.

Make sure to register beforehand via the red button above so that the winery can be prepared for our group.
