Most of you know by now that Brno has an exhibition centre and large international trade fairs take place there throughout the year. However, do you know it was opened already in 1928 and for what occasion? And which original pavilions from that famous era are still there?

Join us for an exclusive private excursion to the grounds, including a stunning rooftop view, a peek inside the most spectacular pavilion and concluded by a leisurely picnic at the ‘lakeside’, usually reserved for the finest trade fair banquets and parties. We will be hosted by the BVV Director of Protocol and seasoned expat / re-pat Mr. Radek Klepáč, who will also provide a commentary on the history and the most interesting features of this architecturally valuable compound.

As for the picnic, the usual applies, i.e. bring a blanket to sit on and whatever you’d like to eat or drink and share with others. (This time, there is no option to buy something on the premises.) Our July picnics are usually a pleasant opportunity to meet other expats at a time when Brno runs at a calmer, holiday pace.

By attending a free public event organised by the Brno Expat Centre I hereby give my consent to the use of photos from the event which may contain my likeness. These may be used in BEC documentation and promotion materials.
