Community room at the Brno Expat Centre

The BEC Community Room is a meeting place for expats to share ideas, learn, and connect with others.

We welcome non-profits, companies, and community groups to organize events that:

  • bring useful information to expats,
  • offer networking and cultural exchange,
  • introduce life in Brno and the Czech Republic,
  • connect foreigners with locals.

Who can use the room?

The space is open for events aimed at expats and their families, BEC clients, and specific subgroups of the community (such as spouses, entrepreneurs, networkers, or artists). All activities must fit the mission of the Brno Expat Centre and be beneficial for expats.

Why do we sometimes charge a fee?

Most NGO-led events for expats are free of charge.
If an event is commercial (organized by a company) or private and paid-for by participants, we ask for a small hourly fee.

This helps us keep the room sustainable and available for everyone, while staying fair to both non-profit and business organizers.

Simply put: community events stay free, business events contribute a little to keep the space running.
