You’ve most likely seen the movie Schindler’s List, but did you know that the factory where Oskar Schindler saved 1,200 people is actually just one hour outside Brno? Come and discover it with us.

We’ll have a guided tour of Schindler’s Factory in Brněnec. During World War II, a branch of a concentration camp was established here to manufacture ammunition. It was here that Oskar Schindler saved Jews from the Kraków ghetto, transferring them from his factory in Kraków.

Before Oskar Schindler, the factory was owned and run by the Löw-Beer family, who also had several textile factories here in Brno. Today, the descendants of the Löw-Beers are working to save the factory buildings, and a Museum of Survivors has been opened there, linking the past with the present and the future.

The tour will then continue with an easy walk to the Löw-Beer Villa in Půlpecen.

Meeting point: 8:40 a.m. in front of the main train station

Departure: Train R19 at 8:56 a.m.

Return: Train R19 at 2:16 p.m., arriving in Brno at 3:02 p.m.

Museum entry: 250 CZK (cash only)

We recommend purchasing train tickets in advance.
