BEC is preparing a seminar on this topic this autumn. We will connect expats with experience to share, or with an interest to learn more.
Once in a while, we have foreigners coming to the BEC office asking for help with opening a food business. And we have already helped a few. There is a Japanese izakaya, a Canadian poutine stall, a Vietnamese spring-roll window. And more are hopefully coming soon – a Southern Indian restaurant, a masala chai kiosk or another food truck. New authentic ethnic bistros are hungrily expected to pop up in the city, food festivals welcome thousands of gourmands, the time is right for next new thing.
Whether you are an experienced restaurateur or just a foody newbie interested in opening a business in Brno, you are welcome to join us for short presentations, experience and know-how sharing and networking.
The event will have three parts:
- General introduction about the necessary conditions that must be fulfilled when opening a food establishment
- Practical experience shared by individual entrepreneurs who have already achieved the above, including Q&A.
- Open networking for everyone, accompanied by some typical international refreshments.
We will meet on Monday, 19 November, from 5.30 p.m. at the Impact Hub Brno, Cyrilská 7. The seminar is free of charge for registered participants.
If you are interested in presenting your business, let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org. Should you have any further questions, do not hesitate to write to our event manager Katka at email@example.com.
