BEC call for foreign startups or freelancers: Expat Startups Feedback Session #2
Are you a foreign entrepreneur, a startup founder or leader, a freelancer, investor or business angel living in Brno? Or are you thinking of leaving your job to start a business?
Last year, we held four meetings each focusing on a different topic: venture capital, hiring talents, building a brand and developing a business plan. Every time, we hosted a really diverse group learning from each other: not only in project ideas but their backgrounds, too. Almost 100 people of 26 different nationalities discussed topics introduced by guest experts, and exchanged valuable contacts and tips over a glass of wine.
One of the meetings presented the finalists of our first contest of business plans. Now, it’s time to announce a second round!
Call for promising business projects
We’re opening a second business call. We’ll select 4-6 promising business projects with a foreign personality driving the idea (be it their founder, leader or key team member). We’ll give them a chance to present their business and get feedback from experienced business people, coaches, mentors and other peers in the room.
Last year we received 28 applications and four finalists introduced themselves to our jury and their peers. This May, it can be you presenting and being promoted to potential partners and investors.
The Expat Startups Feedback Session will take place in autumn (TBD). If you are interested to apply with your business (it could also be early stage or freelancers‘ projects), fill in the simple form (it takes just 5 minutes). All applicants will be invited to the event. Foreign entrepreneurs, freelancers, startup founders or leaders are welcome. You can take your Czech company partner with you, but you will be the one presenting.

Petter Frisell

Jan Všianský
Business angel investor, serving the local startup community as a mentor and expert. Loves discussions on Business Development and Lean methodology. The co-founder of Lingea.
Karel Fuksa
Seasoned manager with broad experience in both large technology group and now in the startup organization. Passionate about different cultures, new technology and turning ideas into business opportunities. A repat (former Czech expat in Malaysia).
Vlastimil Veselý
