From Brno to Munich in less than an hour? Yes, you can. There is a new a regular direct flight that takes off six times a week.
The direct flight to Munich is operated by BMI regional in cooperation with Lufthansa. It connects to over 200 flights from Munich to 50+ places in Europe and North America.
“New flights serve as an alternative to travelling to and from Brno through big airports that are at least 2 hours of driving away,” said Brno airport director Tomáš Plaček. The airline companies plan to increase the number of flights so that it is possible to take a Brno-Europe-Brno journey in one day.
The new route will be utilized not only by enterpreneurs, but also scientists working on international projects in Brno.
You can catch the flight at 12.15 pm from Monday to Friday. On Sunday it takes off at 4.10 pm. A one-way ticket is available from 2150 CZK.
Brno airport launches three other regural flights: to London-Stansted, London-Luton and Eindhoven, the Netherlands. In season there are three additional direct flights to Egyptian cities Antalya, Hurghada and Marsa Alam.
In 2014 almost 487,000 passenger travelled through the Brno airport. The City of Brno which runs the airport is planning to negotiate one or two additional direct flights to big European cities in near future.
