Popular outdoor food festival at Špilberk castle is coming up. Foodies will gather at the open-air courtyards and terraces of Špilberk at the beginning of June. With Brno Expat Centre you have a chance to win free-entry tickets for this unusual dining experience.
At Špilberk Food Festival, visitors will taste food of chefs from the best South Moravian restaurants. Each restaurant will serve a several-course tasting menu. One can either buy the whole menu or any particular course. They will also recommend what wine goes with each menu.
Visitors will sample delicacies straight from the hands of Brno popular restaurants chefs’, such as Koishi, Il Mercato, Noem Arch Restaurant, Butcher’s, Steakhouse Monte Bú, Castellana Bistro, Hotel Slavia Brno and other.
As for other programme at the food festival, you can experience tuna-cutting by a Sushi Master Noritada Saito from Koishi Restaurant, learn the secrets of experimental molecular cuisine, join in a cooking school or watch the cooking show of “the Czech Gordon Ramsay” Zdeněk Pohlreich.
Špilberk Food Festival will take place from June 6 to June 8 (Fri 1-10 pm + late-night afterparty, Sat 11 am-9 pm, Sun 11 am-7 pm). The entrance fee – if booked in advance until May 25 – is 400 CZK (including 250 CZK consumption) for Saturday and Sunday and 1350 CZK (including 750 CZK consumption) for a special programme on Friday.
Just answer the question “For how many years has the Špilberk Food Festival been taking place, this year included?” Winners will be drawn in the middle of May. (The competition closed on May 20.)
